There are plenty of designs and mini ramp plans online to help you get started. and leave a bit after the top of the ramp. I was wondering if anyone had some plans for ramps that you have built. Gonna build some mini kickers out of wood first and then some metal ones later. add the first layer, start at the same level as the first 2 by 4. mini ramp plans 4557 Views 12 Replies 5 Participants Last post by jordon372, Aug 11, 2009.add the other studs about every 15 to 20 cm.they are placed on the down stud, for the last 2, you will have to use a bit of felt over 2 by 4 to make it fit better to the transition. Cover the ramp with plywood and ramp liner for a smooth surface. ![]() Make sure you attach the pieces on a level surface, or else the ramp will be crooked. 2 When you’re finished, a beginner halfpipe will be about 27 feet (8.2 m) long. the first 4 studs are 10 cm shorther than the others. Place the flat bottom between the 2 transition pieces and screw them together.add a 224 cm stud on the down part of the transition.add the 135cm stud on the end of the transition.draw the template on the 18mm plate, and cut out the transitions.Start by drawing all the lines like on the plan, and also draw the curve (see template on how to) on the template.about 20 studs from 5 x 10 cm (2 by 4's) and 244 cm (8 feet) long.2 plates from 122 x 244 cm (4 by 8 feet) and 9 mm (3/8 inch).1 plate from 122 x 244 cm (4 by 8 feet) and 18mm (3/4 inch), and some left overs. You can add the spine, or add a wallride, or a jumpbox, or whatever you want. so this isn't a trick for only small tricks. but on with the ramp, it rules for doing tricks on the deck, you can get 5 feet airs out of it (that is if you can air like my friend), and i can do backflip fly outs on it. so if you are ever in kortrijk (belgium), go tell them how mutch they suck. i build one for my city, and after it was build, they said no bikes allowed. It has a more mellow transition and it seems to work for him. This is the ramp i like the most. There's a guy over at r/oldskaters who has a microramp. ![]() The board should be drawn about double the size for comparison. The radius in OPs drawing is also deceiving. I know from having riden one that it's nearly impossible maintain speed in a 2' micro half pipe.Ī 2' would work fine as a small quarter pipe, but it doesn't work very well as a half pipe, no matter how close or far the sides are from each other. The dimensions on the drawing looks fine because it's out of scale.Ī 2' microramp is skateable, but it's nothing like that picture. If that ramp is 2' then his board is less than 1'. I agree that anything is skateable, but the reason why I asked OP if the board on on the drawing is to scale is that it is not. If you have stumbled upon this thread because you'd like to build something similar, I still suggest making it at least 3'. You can post your videos, give and receive tips on tricks you're having difficulty with, your new board setup and anything else you find relevant. If it doesn't make sense to specify an age just put. Note: There is no age restriction as long as you are not posting your skating footage. (it should be the last thing, no periods after it). ![]() NOTE: In the picture above where it says 6' it should day 5.5', I forgot that 2圆s were actually only 1.5' by 5.5'. You did not place the tag at the end of the title. Free ramp plans for a 4 foot mini halfpipe, 8 foot vert halfpipe, 4 foot quarterpipe, grind box and funbox, instructions include step by step pictures and videos. You did not enclose tag in square brackets. You forgot to include YO in your age tag after age number. Therefore, all my post titles this birthday year will be followed by the following: Your post should contain the following tag at the end, where age is your current age in numbers.įor example, I am 38 years old. If you are less than and want to post your skating footage please use communities which are more appropriate (ex: r/skateboarding). This is implemented by design to allow the younger skaters to interact with the older skaters but not make the subreddit pointless. Your post will be removed if it violates this rule. There is no age restriction as long as you are not posting your skating footage (videos or photos). So, make sure youre building a mini ramp in a place where the structure will sit. The half-pipe must be installed on solid horizontal surfaces to avoid unintentional shifts and potential injuries. For a less expensive mini ramp, reduce the scale by 25 or 33 percent. If you are a new old skater you are in the right place as well. The following project can become a reality for around 1,200. This subreddit is for the older skaters (anyone above 30). ![]()
